What is the purpose of the EADI General Conference?
The EADI General Conference is held every three years and assembles more than 500 participants involved or interested in development issues. The Conference is part of EADI’s activities conducted in order to broaden and deepen the scientific network of development research among its members. The forthcoming EADI Conference “Responsible Development in a Polycentric World – Inequality, Citizenship and the Middle Classes” is held in Bonn, 23-26 June, 2014.How can I submit an abstract and/or paper?
I want to come to the Conference. What do I do now?
If you are planning on coming to the conference as a researcher, speaker or private person, you will have to register your attendance. Following the instructions of the Registration Tool you can choose a conference package that suits your interests best. Afterwards you will have to decide if you need accommodation in Bonn. If you want to stay at the conference centre you can make a reservation for accommodation during the registration process. If you want to stay elsewhere, you can book your own hotel. The conference organisers will not take care of your travel arrangements, however, we are happy to answer all your questions by email.
Do I have to register for the conference?
Yes. You have to register in advance if you wish to participate at all sessions and panels of the conference.
Do I have to pay in order to participate at the Conference?
Yes, the participation at the conference is connected to a fee that covers the participation and several events. More information about the exact amount is available here.
Can I participate as observer, without presenting a paper?
Yes, the same fees, terms and conditions apply for all participants, whether you present a paper or not.
